Brief (around 300 words) personality outline of your character:
When she's in her right mind, Azula is a cold calculating perfectionist. She is almost entirely incapable of normal emotions and connecting with people because of how her father raised her to be a perfect deadly force of nature. He wanted the perfect children but he did too well. To the point that even he was scared of how dangerous and cruel she was.
But with the mounting pressure of realizing she would never have his approval she has become unstable, paranoid, violent and exceedingly emotional at times. Defeat at her brother's hand pushed what little sanity she had left right over the edge.
Brief (around 500 words) history and background of your character OR link to a really good wiki page with their history. In either case, explain where they cut off from the timeline:

Too much, it was all too much. The voice acted like it cared, acted like she was taking care of them.
But Azula new better, oh yes she did.
"She just wants me to lower my defenses." She reasoned to herself as she moved swiftly with purpose through the halls, "Just like the others, get close, strike when I'm most vulnerable. I'll be a dead fool before I ever allow that."
She was talking to herself, softly and as fast as she was walking. Her eyes were darting about watching every shadow for a potential attack.
She's in league with the Avatar...with that peasant with..." She couldn't even bring herself to say his name and snarled suddenly flying into a rage, "You won't beat me! No one can beat me! I'm the true fire lord!" she roared her voice echoing into nothingness.
Panting, sweat pouring down her face as her heart pounded in her chest she caught sight of herself in a mirror. She saw a stranger looking back at her with a untamed mane of hair and frightened eyes.
She took off at a run, desperate to find a place to hide and collect her scattered thoughts and shattered nerves.
If the character has magic, mutant, or otherwise metahuman abilities, please explain what they are and outline EXACTLY how they function, as their powers may not work due to the nature of the ship or may need to be limited somehow:
Firebending: Azula has the power to create, and manipulate fire at will. She is a prodigy in this field creating the hottest of blue flames and even mastering lightning techniques by the age of 14.
Her true power came from her extreme focus and detachment from emotion. The more unstable and emotional she is the more wild and out of control her fire becomes.
Non-superhuman special abilities of note:
Hand to hand combat: Even without her fire bending Azula is a dangerous foe, having shown agility, strength, speed and accuracy of someone well beyond her years. She has in the past fought off armed opponents with ease. But this, like most of her skills is tied to her focus and concentration.
Strategist: Azula has shown the ability to be a cunning strategist and leader often proving to be several steps ahead of those she intends to dominate and inspiring support from people through fear and strength. She is a masterful manipulator.
Friends taught: She has picked up a thing or two about acrobatics and knife throwing from her two "Friends" Mai and Ty Lee
